Blepharoplasty: Eyelid Surgery
Blepharoplasty can be performed as a single procedure or accompanying rejuvenation other areas of the face. The purpose of blepharoplasty , is to correct the aged and tired appearance that occurs with increasing sagging skin and muscles of the eyelids , both above and below , accentuated by the bulging of ” pockets” of fatty tissue, which produce a characteristic appearance ” bloated ” which may even interfere with vision . There are many cases where it is not indicated resection of lower eyelid skin , but their “pockets ” fats . In these cases the so-called Trans Conjunctival Blepharoplasty is performed , which involves removal of these “pockets ” without cutting (cutting ) the skin, using as input via the conjunctiva of lower eyelid.
